“Less Than the Least” Prison Ministries’
Statement of Faith
Less than the Least Ministries
believes Biblical Faith to be defined in the first verse of Hebrews Chapter 11.
“Now faith is the substance
(assurance) of things hoped for, the evidence (conviction) of things not seen”.
This ministries’ doctrinal statement concerning faith is outlined below.
The Word of God
This ministry believes
the Bible to be the pure and perfect Word of God, fully inspired, harmonious,
and without error in the original manuscripts. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, it
is living, active, and provides supreme authority in all matters of faith and
conduct for humanity.
The Trinity
This ministry believes
that there is one self-existent living and true God, a Trinitarian Spirit being
eternally existing in three persons; and that these three are equal in every
divine characteristic, attribute, and nature. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!
As one they are the only true God!
God the Father
This ministry believes
there is one God the Father, the Most High Lord God Almighty. Having no
beginning or end, He is a spirit, perfectly holy, the essence of wisdom,
supremely powerful and loves unconditionally. We believe that He is infallibly
omniscient in past, present, and future, that truth is His nature, and grace
endlessly flows forth from Him. He desires a relationship with man, His
creation, whom He made in His image, and concerns Himself mercifully in men’s
affairs. Through the Holy Spirit, He hears and answers prayer. Only through
man’s faith and belief in His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, does He save man from
the penalty of sin, and eternal separation from Himself.
Jesus Christ, the Son
This ministry believes in
Jesus Christ; “the Christ”, the Son of the Living God, as God's only begotten
Son was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. We believe in His
sinless life, miracles, and teachings of His earthly ministry. We believe in His
substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven.
That He perpetually intercedes on behalf of His brethren, as the Eternal High
Priest of their confession, and will personally return to earth to rule and
reign.
The Holy Spirit
This ministry believes in
the Holy Spirit who came forth from, and is joined with the Father and the Son.
He strives with men and convicts the world of sin drawing all men to a believing
faith in the Son. He imputes righteousness, regeneration, sanctification, and
empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit
indwells, anoints, and fills every believer in Christ, and that He is an
internally abiding helper, comforter, teacher and guide concerning God’s will
for every believer.
Salvation
This ministry believes
that God created man in His own image; that through Adam’s disobedience sin
entered God’s perfect creation, and as a result man (human beings) incurred
physical, spiritual and eternal death. As a consequence man was separated from
his creator God by sin. Therefore, all human beings are born with a sinful
nature; choose sin naturally placing them under condemnation. We believe that
the regenerated are those who turn from their sin to a love relationship with
God, by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. This is the work of
the Holy Spirit and the regenerated become new creatures receiving every
spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. By this confession of faith in Jesus Christ
alone, they are delivered from spiritual death and condemnation, and receive
eternal life.
The Christian Walk
This ministry believes
that a Christian should walk by faith not by sight after choosing to receive
Christ’s free gift of regeneration. Their life after salvation should be a
continuous effort to glorify God and exude compassion and concern for the
physical and spiritual well being of their fellow man. They should be
progressively constraining their sin nature leaving behind the things of the
world and pressing on toward the high calling of God’s will in their Christian
life. Their conduct should be blameless before the world; they should be a
faithful steward of their spiritual possessions and gifts; exercising their
faith as they go on to full stature of maturity in Christ Jesus.
Church
This ministry believes
the church to be a living spiritual body, of which, Jesus Christ is the head and
all regenerated persons are of the assembly and subject to pastoral oversight.
This localized body of assembled believers in Jesus Christ consists of those
baptized on a credible profession of their individual faith in Christ alone, and
are gathered for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that God has
commanded the members of His body, the church, locally, in their state, in their
country, and throughout the Earth to unashamedly deliver the gospel of Jesus
Christ to a lost sin cursed world.
Last Days and Last Things
This ministry believes
that in these last days God has spoken in His Son, by His Spirit, and through
His Word; the Bible. We believe in Jesus Christ’s coming again to receive His
church, the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth, the
establishment of His kingdom, and His eternal reign forever and ever thereafter.
We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal joy
of the righteous, and the endless suffering of the wicked.
